Muharram is ISLAM is actually the day when Hussain the grandson of prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) was martyred. The epic of this martyrdom was linked to the soveriegnty of God in all aspects of life especially politics as Hussain stood against the tyrranical state of king then Yazeed and refused him as king, leaving the only way for Yazeed to fight with Hussain and finally prove his kingdon and superiority. History witnessed Hussain's great spirit and struggle towards god's sovereignty and its continuing to remember each year at the eve of muharram.
